Engaged. That’s how Four Seasons General Manager John Conway wants guests to feel when staying at his iconic resort perched on one of the Bahamas’ most idyllic beaches.

Q: The Ocean Club has a 57-year history. Is there an element of the resort that speaks to the early days on Paradise Island?
Conway: Celebrations. The Ocean Club has long been known as a place to celebrate honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, and everything in between. Generations continue to find us to be a memorable place for enjoying a special occasion while admiring our spectacular ocean views.
Q: For someone looking to visit for the first time, how would you describe the resort’s personality and ambiance?
Guests experience a living, breathing art museum.
Then there is the simple pleasure of walking our amazing property. We’re talking 35 acres of gardens, walkways, special lighting, hammocks, our picturesque beach and signature ocean views. There is a total focus on the incredible water we wake up to each day. This is a place to get lost on purpose.
Q: Are there one or two experiences that really capture a stay at The Ocean Club?
Conway: Arrange to go on a boat tour and drop anchor near a secluded beach. My wife and I are boaters. We love to explore the Bahamas waters and simply appreciate all this beautiful island has to offer.
Here on our property, I recommend experiencing sunset at the DUNE Restaurant. Enjoying a cocktail while listening to our nightly music as the sun sets over the ocean is unforgettable.
